Oh man, I've been quiet on here. Not that I don't have anything to blog about, bookwise or otherwise-wise; I have so much to write about! It is only that I have less time than words. Or more tasks than time. Or more hours than brainpower. Or something.
I've been reading and reading and working on my own writing and other people's writing and then reading some more. I'm keeping up with politics and culture and exploring the unfettered access to all the things that summertime sucks out of the woodwork. So, I ask patience, dear readers. Had I world and time enough, I would be blogging in here everyday. But I don't and that's the way it crumbles, cookie-wise.*
I just wanted to pop my head in and say I'm still here! I'm still working and reading and thinking about books and reading and words, always. I finished a fantasy novel that I was lukewarm about so I didn't share it with you. And right now I'm in the middle of Celeste Ng's new novel Little Fires Everywhere. I went to Readercon earlier this month and just returned from the NYC Poetry Festival. These are all things I want to talk about!! And I shall. I shall! I shall hold a potato in my hand, as god is my witness, and blog....probably later in the summer. Don't be mad at me. I hate it when you're mad at me.
*3,000 points for those who get that film reference. I might even send you a book, if you'd like.
